PoeticLicenseSonoma
Poetic License Sonoma, a group of poets, read each quarter on the fourth Tuesday at Sebastopol Center for the Arts Fourth Tuesday Zoom Poetry Series. Though often a solitary pursuit, the writing of poetry, like all artistic forms of communication, is nurtured through the collaboration and support of others. They encourage and celebrate this form of artistry in our region, and beyond, through poetry readings, like this one; the publication of their work; and a steady stream of new writing.
Connie Post
Connie Post served as the first Poet Laureate of Livermore, California. Her work has appeared in Calyx, Cutthroat Magazine, Comstock Review, River Styx, The American Journal of Poetry, Spoon River Poetry Review, and Verse Daily. Her Awards include the Liakoura award, the Caesura award, and the Crab Creek Review Poetry Award. Her first full length Book “Floodwater” won the Lyrebird Award. Her second full length collection “Prime Meridian” was named a distinguished favorite in the Independent Press Awards. Her two 2023 collections include “Between Twilight” by New York Quarterly books and “Broken Metronome” (Glass Lyre Press).
