Poetic License Sonoma, a group of poets, read each quarter on the fourth Tuesday at Sebastopol Center for the Arts Fourth Tuesday Zoom Poetry Series. Though often a solitary pursuit, the writing of poetry, like all artistic forms of communication, is nurtured through the collaboration and support of others. They encourage and celebrate this form of artistry in our region, and beyond, through poetry readings, like this one; the publication of their work; and a steady stream of new writing.
Raphael Block’s latest poetry book, The Dreams We Share, is due this spring. He is the author of four other poetry collections, Songs from a Small Universe, Spangling Darkness, Strings of Shining Silence, and At This Table. Raphael produces the monthly Earth-Love Newsletter which can be viewed at raphaelblock.com along with a National Geographic selected 5-minute documentary. Much of his work describes his relationship with the Earth and her minute wonders.
