  • Serafina is the Executive Director of the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. She believes art has the power to change the way we think and opens us to new experiences. Art, music, poetry, performance and all the artistic disciplines give meaning to our lives. She looks to lead SebArts to an innovative new chapter by focusing on building community, resilient infrastructure and expanded artistic experience. SebArts is a welcoming gathering space where our community can join together to make art, share art and celebrate creative thought.

  • Luna Sorrenti is a Program Manager who brings efficiency and diligence by utilizing systems of organization through her background in Sales, Event Production and education in Business Administration. Luna enjoys being an integral part of the processes that designs and plans for areas of our art education offerings and community events since 2021.

    Luna‘s Favorite Artist/Art Style: Frank Lloyd Wright as a revolutionary architect and Johannes Itten as a contributor to the Bauhaus Movement.

  • Michelle is a painter and visual communications professional, with a career spanning over two decades as a creative director. She has created successful branding and marketing campaigns as well as experiential design for clients including Coors Brewing Company, Denver International Airport, Sundance Film Festival/Chef Dance, South by Southwest, Ticketmaster and Google Intersection. Michelle has been an Art Trails artist since 2014, and her unwavering commitment to artistic expression not only enriches her work at SebArts, but also fuels her commitment to art in our community. Michelle’s passion is in creating a synergy between art, design and community engagement. Michelle earned her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

  • Michelle Feileacan has recently taken on the role of Relationship Manager at Sebarts.She is a 25 year resident of Sebastopol and has two sons, one a graduate of Analy and one entering his freshman year. She is a small business owner, a metalsmith and has been a professional photographer for 18 years. In addition, she has worked in marketing, design, management and education - always propelled by art, creativity and community. In her spare time, she appreciates thrift stores, gardening, baseball, good food, bad tv, knitting, drawing and fashion. She is, at heart, a creative and loves that she now gets to spend her time with our community.

    Michelle‘s Favorite Artist/Art Style: It would be impossible to name a favorite artist, but “The Unmade Bed” by Imogen Cunningham was one of the first images that caught my attention in a way that stirred something unexplainable in me.

  • Alice Rathjen has over 40 years of experience working with clay. She was a production potter for five years while living in a small cabin in the Sierras. She's taught hundreds of people how to throw on the wheel over the years.

    The current focus of Alice's art is the simple pleasure of playing with clay. She enjoys throwing exquisite bowls, mugs, and cups and seeing them go on adventures.

    Superpower: Channeling Edna Mode of the Incredibles: FYI, No capes in the clay room! They might get caught on the potterswheel. ;)

  • Harmony is the bookkeeper for SebArts. She has her bachelor's degree in mathematics and has always dreamed of working in finance. She is beyond thrilled to be a part of this team, and has learned a lot about art since coming on. Originally from Santa Rosa, Harmony moved to Idaho at 7 years old and just made her move back to the Bay Area in 2022.

    Superpower: Intuition

  • Damian is a graphic artist and a small business owner of a skateboard art company. He is a successful art influencer through social media and is passionate about connecting art to the world. With a bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts and Museum Studies from Sonoma State, Damian utilizes his knowledge of gallery management and media marketing to create an exciting environment of art for the community. He is thrilled to be in a place that allows his creativity to thrive. 

    Superpower: Determination

    Favorite artist/art piece: The Baroque art style of early 17th Century. I appreciate the dramatic, expressive movements of the characters and the use of harsh shadows and bright highlights. 

    I am also a huge Post Malone fan.

  • Danny Foster is the Facilities Manager, and has a background in AV production and general construction. They are happy to bring their wealth of technical skills to the table to keep the building looking beautiful and running smoothly, often while whistling a cheery tune. Danny appreciates taking care of the nuts and bolts in order to provide a strong foundation for the Sebastopol Center for the Arts programs and events to function smoothly and successfully. 

    Superpower: Fixing things 

    Favorite Artist/Art Style: Georgy Kurasov, using cubism and futurism! He has a remarkable ability to create a sense of motion and inspire depth of feeling with geometric shapes and lines that come together to portray a variety of imagery from across the human experience.

  • Penelope is a mixed media artist and the Open Studios Manager for SebArts. She loves visiting art galleries and participating in local community events. As an artist herself, she is dedicated to uplifting artist's voices and helping others follow their dreams. She has an MFA in Visual art and is honored to be a new part of Sonoma County

Meet the Board of Directors

  • Sally Baker

    PRESIDENT

    Sally is a watercolor artist living in Sebastopol. She earned her BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her secondary teaching credential from the University of Southern California. Sally participates in Art at the Source and Art Trails, the open studio events in Sonoma County. She is a partner at the Graton Gallery and owner of My Daughter the Framer in Santa Rosa. She is also a Board member of Main Stage West.

  • Sandi McCubbin

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Sandi has been a seasoned influential policy professional on a broad range of issues. She advocated for many interests at both state and local government. She was a registered lobbyist for many years, specializing in telecommunications, energy, and transportation. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, prior to receiving her masters from the University of California, Davis. She has served on many boards. While living in San Francisco, she served on the boards of the San Francisco Conservation Corps and Creative Growth in Oakland. Since her move to Healdsburg, she has served on the boards of Coastwalk and Master Gardeners. She is currently co chair Farm to Pantry besides being Board Vice President for the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. She is also on the Citizens Advisory Board of SMART and the Advisory Board for the North Bay Conservation Corps.

  • Linda Loveland Reid

    SECRETARY

    Linda Loveland Reid holds two B.A. degrees from Sonoma State University in History and Art History. She currently teaches art history classes for both Sonoma State and Dominican Universities in their Osher Lifelong Learning programs. She is a figurative oil painter.

    Linda is the author of two novels, Touch of Magenta and Something in Stone. She is past president of Redwood Writers, the largest branch of the prestigious California Writers Club where she was presented with the CWC Jack London Award.

    Linda has directed community theater for over 30 years in Sonoma and Marin Counties. Retired from the family insurance business that she founded in Santa Rosa, Linda enjoys life in wine country with her husband playwright and architect Harry Reid.

  • Len Goldfine

    TREASURER

    More than 40 years’ experience as a senior executive in the laser and electro-optics industry across multiple market segments. Recently semi-retired from Applied Photon Technology, Inc. (APT) as President, CEO and Founder following the acquisition of the company at the close of 2021.Previous to being a founder of APT in 2002, Len held management positions at Coherent, Inc. where he was Director of Marketing and at PDT, Inc. where he was Chief Operating Officer of the company overseeing the application of laser technology in the treatment of cancer. He also served as V.P. of Marketing & Sales at ILC Technology, prior to its acquisition by PerkinElmer Optoelectronics.

    Len has been a Fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and continues in the role as mentor for the Meritus College Fund.

    He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and continued his studies in Physiology/Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ghent, Belgium.

  • Andrea Caron

    MEMBER

    Andrea Caron and her family have lived in Sebastopol for 18 years. She is one of the owners of Silk Moon Boutique in Sebastopol and an active member of our community. In the past Andrea was on the board of Analy High School’s “Project Grad” gathering donations from local businesses for the graduating students. For 20 years she was also the business administrator for Stuart Preparatory School in Santa Rosa. Andrea is looking forward to assisting and promoting Sebastopol Center for the Arts.

  • Mark Stevens

    MEMBER

    Mark Stevens has over 25 year's experience as a realtor and broker, specializing in winery estates and wine country properties. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington, a background which led him to his interest in viticulture. He enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, bird watching and golfing.

  • Omar Figueroa

    MEMBER

    Omar Figueroa is the Founder and Principal Attorney of the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa, one of the leading cannabis licensing, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law firms in California. Omar is a graduate of Yale College, Stanford Law School, and the Trial Lawyers College. He has also completed an Executive Education program for directors of corporate boards at the Wharton School in Philadelphia. He is a Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association and Director of the California Cannabis Tourism Association.

  • John Cooper

    MEMBER

    John Cooper Director Emeritus, Sundance Film Festival. For three decades, Cooper was a member of the Sundance Film Festival programming team. In the early years, he moved from a programmer, to the Director of Programming before eventually being named Director in 2010. From 2010 to 2020 he oversaw all aspects of the annual Sundance Film Festival in addition to expanding ventures to Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong, London, and the Ignite Program for young talent. Other work includes guest curator and juror at major festivals around the world. Currently he is the co-host with Tabitha Jackson on the podcast “The Film That Blew My Mind,” and on the Board of Directors for Sebastopol Center for the Arts and True West Film Center.
