Meet the Board of Directors

  • Sally Baker

    PRESIDENT

    Sally is a watercolor artist living in Sebastopol. She earned her BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her secondary teaching credential from the University of Southern California. Sally participates in Art at the Source and Art Trails, the open studio events in Sonoma County. She is a partner at the Graton Gallery and owner of My Daughter the Framer in Santa Rosa. She is also a Board member of Main Stage West.

  • Sandi McCubbin

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Sandi has been a seasoned influential policy professional on a broad range of issues. She advocated for many interests at both state and local government. She was a registered lobbyist for many years, specializing in telecommunications, energy, and transportation. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, prior to receiving her masters from the University of California, Davis. She has served on many boards. While living in San Francisco, she served on the boards of the San Francisco Conservation Corps and Creative Growth in Oakland. Since her move to Healdsburg, she has served on the boards of Coastwalk and Master Gardeners. She is currently co chair Farm to Pantry besides being Board Vice President for the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. She is also on the Citizens Advisory Board of SMART and the Advisory Board for the North Bay Conservation Corps.

  • Linda Loveland Reid

    SECRETARY

    Linda Loveland Reid holds two B.A. degrees from Sonoma State University in History and Art History. She currently teaches art history classes for both Sonoma State and Dominican Universities in their Osher Lifelong Learning programs. She is a figurative oil painter.

    Linda is the author of two novels, Touch of Magenta and Something in Stone. She is past president of Redwood Writers, the largest branch of the prestigious California Writers Club where she was presented with the CWC Jack London Award.

    Linda has directed community theater for over 30 years in Sonoma and Marin Counties. Retired from the family insurance business that she founded in Santa Rosa, Linda enjoys life in wine country with her husband playwright and architect Harry Reid.

  • Len Goldfine

    TREASURER

    More than 40 years’ experience as a senior executive in the laser and electro-optics industry across multiple market segments. Recently semi-retired from Applied Photon Technology, Inc. (APT) as President, CEO and Founder following the acquisition of the company at the close of 2021.Previous to being a founder of APT in 2002, Len held management positions at Coherent, Inc. where he was Director of Marketing and at PDT, Inc. where he was Chief Operating Officer of the company overseeing the application of laser technology in the treatment of cancer. He also served as V.P. of Marketing & Sales at ILC Technology, prior to its acquisition by PerkinElmer Optoelectronics.

    Len has been a Fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and continues in the role as mentor for the Meritus College Fund.

    He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and continued his studies in Physiology/Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ghent, Belgium.

  • Andrea Caron

    MEMBER

    Andrea Caron and her family have lived in Sebastopol for 18 years. She is one of the owners of Silk Moon Boutique in Sebastopol and an active member of our community. In the past Andrea was on the board of Analy High School’s “Project Grad” gathering donations from local businesses for the graduating students. For 20 years she was also the business administrator for Stuart Preparatory School in Santa Rosa. Andrea is looking forward to assisting and promoting Sebastopol Center for the Arts.

  • Mark Stevens

    MEMBER

    Mark Stevens has over 25 year's experience as a realtor and broker, specializing in winery estates and wine country properties. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington, a background which led him to his interest in viticulture. He enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, bird watching and golfing.

  • Omar Figueroa

    MEMBER

    Omar Figueroa is the Founder and Principal Attorney of the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa, one of the leading cannabis licensing, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law firms in California. Omar is a graduate of Yale College, Stanford Law School, and the Trial Lawyers College. He has also completed an Executive Education program for directors of corporate boards at the Wharton School in Philadelphia. He is a Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association and Director of the California Cannabis Tourism Association.

  • John Cooper

    MEMBER

    John Cooper Director Emeritus, Sundance Film Festival. For three decades, Cooper was a member of the Sundance Film Festival programming team. In the early years, he moved from a programmer, to the Director of Programming before eventually being named Director in 2010. From 2010 to 2020 he oversaw all aspects of the annual Sundance Film Festival in addition to expanding ventures to Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong, London, and the Ignite Program for young talent. Other work includes guest curator and juror at major festivals around the world. Currently he is the co-host with Tabitha Jackson on the podcast “The Film That Blew My Mind,” and on the Board of Directors for Sebastopol Center for the Arts and True West Film Center.

  • Jamienne (Jamie) Studley

    Jamienne (Jamie) Studley’s career spans higher education, public policy, and non-profit leadership. She has served as President and CEO of WSCUC, an international higher education accrediting agency (currently senior advisor); Public Advocates Inc., a civil rights policy advocacy organization; and Skidmore College. Jamie was also deputy undersecretary and earlier general counsel of the US Department of Education; associate dean at Yale Law School; and an adjunct instructor at UC Berkeley, Stanford and Mills. Her board service includes KQED, American Craft Council, Museum of Craft and Design (SF), Collectors of Wood Art, San Francisco Ethics Commission, and California Civil Rights Coalition. She graduated from Barnard College and Harvard Law School.

  • Steve Markus

    As the former Associate Executive DIrector for SebArts, Steve Markus spent his days cooking up more and better ways for SebArts to spread its wings and pursue its mission. He is now a dedicated Board Member who continues his work in supporting SebArts. Before that, he was Executive Director of the Pacific Resident Theatre and was a member and one-time president of the board of 24th Street Theatre in South Los Angeles. From helping remarkable artist groups define themselves in the context of a changing world, to finding space for new projects to feel at home, Steve believes that the first step to fulfilling a new idea is to make room for it.
