TIME: 9am-12pm
Exploring Undersea Forests With Collage and Mural Painting
Campers will immerse in visuals of marine life and explore the important kelp forest ecosystem which resides right off our Sonoma Coast. We will prime, plan and paint a mural depicting the kelp forests and the extraordinary animals that thrive in them like sea otters, star fish, and octopus.
We will learn about the kelp forests through exploring seaweed and kelp from our local beaches and then by creating collages of the kelp forest. We will talk about mural planning and color scheme and then share a collaborative experience priming and painting the background, foreground and details in our mural.
This mural will be displayed on the outer wall of the Sebastopol Center for the Arts.
Please bring a brown bag lunch. Complimentary snacks will be provided by SebArts, 12pm-1pm on each day.
