TIME: 1pm-4pm

For children who enjoy the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.

The course will cover the basics of wheel throwing, pinch pots, coil, and sculpture with recycled clay. We'll have special projects (animal sculptures, pet bowls, secret boxes) as well as unstructured time to work and play.

The goal of this course is for youth to gain confidence in their ability to imagine something and then build it!

Please bring a brown bag lunch. Complimentary snacks will be provided by SebArts, 12pm-1pm on each day.

About the Instructor: Colleen Walsh is an elementary school teacher that became hooked on pottery. She loves making art with kids, seeing others' creative ideas, and trying new things with clay. Her educational background includes an undergrad degree in Anthropology from UCSC, along with a multiple subject teaching credential from SSU.
