Ramana Vieira will be presenting her spin on traditional Portuguese fado. Viera is a Portuguese-American, conservatory-trained artist who surprises the audience with her superlative renditions of American classics, and jazzy blues. Her captivating ballads range from romantic, passionate, humorous, and haunting. For this lovely concert, she is joined by extraordinary musicians: Carlos Reyes on violin; Jeff Furtado on guitar; David Parker on bass and Earl Jackson on drums.

Carlos Reyes, recording artist, producer, engineer, harpist, and violinist– has been breaking musical barriers since his first public performance at the age of five. Born in Paraguay South America, he began his musical education at the age of three on the violin. He made his debut on the Paraguayan harp with the Oakland Symphony and his debut on the violin with the Oakland Youth Symphony at the age of fourteen. Known as a prodigy for his work recording for commercials, solo artists, and instrumental music for well-known children’s shows such as “Sesame Street” and “Villa Alegre”
