Family Day: Holiday Ornaments with Clay
Friday, December 1, 2023, 2 - 4 pm
Adults: $120 ($100 + $20 clay fee)
Adult + 1 Child under age 12 (shared clay): $170 ($150 + $20 clay fee)
The holiday season is here! Join in on this family fun event, make all sorts of ornaments out of clay and learn a multitude of surface decoration techniques for clay, including sgraffito, stamping, embellishing, wax/tape resist, painting, image transfers, and more!
About the Instructor: Nahline Gouin is a ceramic artist living in Sebastopol, where she continues with her studio practice and homeschools her son. Nahline is fluent in Spanish as she is half Mexican, and lived in Mexico until age seven. She has a BFA in Sculpture from the Academy of Art University and finished her graduate work in Museum Studies, Collections & Education from John F. Kennedy University. She has taught ceramics to all ages, all over the Bay Area, including at the original Kids “N’ Clay in Berkeley, the San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind, the Randall Museum, and the JCCSF. She has gained valuable teaching experience at all of these places and she’s excited to teach at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts.
