Mondays, Oct 30 - Nov 27, 2023 (5 weeks) 4 -6 pm

This class encourages spontaneity, creativity and fun as a way to authentically create a character.

The class begins with ensemble building exercises, improvisation games, as well as voice and movement techniques. As the course progresses, students will use short monologues to apply the techniques learned in previous sessions, as well as incorporate script analysis to truly hone their acting and storytelling abilities.

The instructor, Ken Urso, will be sharing the techniques and exercises he learned at the Actors Studio Drama School as a student, and then taught as a professor at ASDS. Ken believes that students learn the most in an atmosphere of relaxed positive reinforcement, and is excited to share his passion and knowledge for acting with local teens.
