In this eight session class, open to all levels, we will explore making weft faced fabrics on our floor looms! In weft faced weaving the warp is completely hidden by the weft. Quicker to set up and fun to weave, weft faced patterns make great rugs, pillows, table linens, bags, wall hangings etc.. Learn a variety of weft faced weaving techniques while weaving a sampler, table runner or a small rug to gain a basic understanding of how it works and the many different ways you can use color or texture in weaving weft faced patterns.
Materials not included. Project costs will vary. Looms available courtesy of the Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts.
