Successful Glaze Application and techniques at SCA
Class will cover:
1. Determining consistency of glaze before applying it to bisque. How to thin glaze.
2. How to chose glaze for your piece.
3. What glazes work well together.
4. How I apply glaze to my flat pieces to make them look like landscapes.
5. Trailing as a technique to enhance your piece.
6. Using White crawl.
7. Troubleshooting glaze problems.
8. Cleaning the bottom of your piece to prevent glaze from damaging shelves or other pieces.
About the Instructor: Karen Norton has a multi subject teaching credential 1996 from Bakersfield State University. She was also a ceramic student at Antelope Valley community college and Glendale Community College who has taken years of classes and workshops with professional Ceramic Artists.
