2011 Annual Benefit Art Auction

Put on your hat and come to this party! Whether you are an art collector or someone who supports our diverse arts programming, then your participation is essential. The silent and live auctions offer the chance to acquire outstanding fine art and exciting packages (travel, wine, tours, gourmet foods) while providing vital support for the Art Center’s education and art programs. The Silent Auction features fine art of exceptional quality from regional artists.

The Live Auction boasts exciting getaways, award-winning wines, and more. We'll lavish you with sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and desserts by our "Local Favorites"  Patisserie Angelica, Pacific Market, Hole in the Wall Cafe, Mary's Pizza, GTO's Seafood House, Hop Monk Tavern, K&L Bistro, French Garden, and others.  A no-host bar will offer wines, martinis and flirtinis! Baking with Wheat Flour

grissiniLearn to prepare and bake breads in various forms: baguettes, grissini, focaccia and pizza, hamburger buns, seeded crackers and pasta. Discuss use of whole wheat flour, bran, yeast, sour dough starter, gluten, seeds. Recieve: hands-on instruction, recipes, 150 year-old "starter;" and lunch with soup with grissini, seeded crackers and valencay goat cheese crafted by Maile Arnold. Instructor Warren Arnold (25 years home baking experience). Saturday, September 24, 9am - 3pm Limited to 4 people $125 each. Class must have 4.

Cheese Making Class

Spend a morning, afternoon, or evening with Tom Shula, amateur cheesemaker and VP of  Wheyward Bound Cheesemaking Club of Sonoma County. Learn the principles of cheesemaking, and how to make Chevre, Ricotta, Mozzarella, and other fresh cheeses. Enjoy a sampling of artisinal cheeses and wines. Conditions: Session to be hosted by the winning bidder at time and location mutually agreed to by Tom Shula and the winning bidder; offer must be redeemed by 3/31/2012; all materials required for cheesemaking will be provided by Tom Shula; class is expected to be approximately 4 hours.

Concert for Children

Alsace, France

One-week stay in a charming, historic flat in the wine country of Alsace, France. Enjoy village life in the medieval center of Ribeauvillé, stay in an updated half-timbered, early 16th century house, walk to wineries and castles! 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field

Two tickets for the US Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field, University of Oregon - Eugene.

This the largest national championship track meet in the world and will select the athletes to represent Team USA at the London Olympic Games in 2012. Dates are June 22 - 24 or June 29 - July 1, 2012. Donated by: Judy Cortez & Bob Podkaminer.

 

 

Aerial Sightseeing & Dinner

Enjoy a sunset flight over Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay, piloted by Marlon Young in his 1954 Cessna 195. Called the "Last of the Red Hot Radials," this plane is considered one of Cessna's classiest airplanes. Includes dinner at the Farmhouse Inn, one of the Russian River Valley's finest restaurants. Kenny's Cottage - Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii

The perfect 7-night tropical getaway for two people, Kenny's Cottage is 30 minutes from Waikiki and the Honolulu Airport, and within walking distance of Kailua.
