Weavers....join us for a 3 session exploration of simple collapse weave! Weave ruffles, scallops, spaced & crammed etc. Each student will design and weave a scarf using differential shrinkage. We will complete the process through the washing stage. Fun and spontaneous results! Students should be comfortable with warping their own looms and have some weaving experience. Rigid Heddle weavers welcome (with your own loom). 4 & 8 shaft looms available courtesy of the Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts. Project costs will vary...shrinking wool and other materials will be available for purchase in the class.

Rosen movements are based on physical therapy. They increase balance and mobility, engage the core, lubricate joints, and improve range of motion. Done in a circle, to a background of world music, the movements invite the body to relax, move and release underlying muscle and emotional tension. In the Monotype and Beyond Workshop we will work with non-toxic water based Akua Inks using the subtractive and additive techniques and the transfer monotype used by Matisse. We will also explore using the “ghost image” with monotype, multiple plate printing and extend the image into mixed media with collage and chine colle’. No experience necessary and all levels and beginners are welcome!
